America has a powerful enemy —The Enemy Within.

Who is it we perceive to be America's Greatest Enemy Within? The people in America who destroyed the League of Nations following the end of WWI.

America was the one nation in the world that caused the termination of the League of Nations. Thereby America is one of the primary reasons bringing about WWII.

There are people in America who are currently attempting to destroy the United Nations. The UN is the only hope for preventing future major wars.

There are people in America who are currently attacking the 1776 Founder's Goal of "Separation of State and Religion"; Attacking the goal of Freedom of and Freedom from Religion"; Attempting to infuse religious beliefs into our secular judicial system.

How did the Thomas Jefferson Humanist Society come about?

The idea started during "bull sessions" among WWII and Korean War vets at military reunions following the printing of Author Kelle Metz's book "My Conversations with a WWII Corsair Fighter Pilot" in 2006 (Trafford Publishing Company; ISBN 1-4120-9100-4).

The conversations featured in the book "The Enemy Within" was repeatedly discussed—A US Marine F4U carrier pilot of the USS Bennington in WWII coined the name "Thomas Jefferson Humanist Society" during a bull session at a 2008 military reunion in Ashville, North Carolina.

Founded in Long Beach as a Delaware Corporation by a circle of vets, the TJHS failed to generate the energy and growth that was anticipated.

At an American Humanist Association Annual Convention in Phoenix, Arizona, founder principal of the TJHS, Tom McBride, met prominent AHA member Jason Frye, President of the San Diego Humanist Society. Jason took over the responsibility of building the TJHS into an all inclusive organization that includes both military veterans and civilians interested in countering the activities of the "Enemy Within".

Jason's activity running the San Diego Humanist Society has been time consuming for him and the need for additional help in Long Beach became obvious. A search was made to find a Long Beach General Manager and strong financial sponsors.

The number one financial sponsor recruited is the 83 year old IOTC (India Overseas Trading Co.), owned and managed by 74 year old patriot Mr. Suresh Bhatti, the grandson of the founder of IOTC in 1928.

The new General Manager of the TJHS is Heather Crow Nelson, a native of the Long Beach area, whose excellent resume boasts experience in the fields of marketing, social media, web design, and more.

Future of the TJHS

Principal TJHS founder 89 year old LCDR Tom McBride USN/Ret., is one of the last of the original WWII founders of the TJHS still standing. He is determined the TJHS will not die and pass away when he does. The TJHS has no time to wrestle with bureaucrats, turf protectors or what have you, in the growing and strengthening of the organization. The TJHS approaches all entities we can find to join the organization in democratically and educationally attacking the "Enemy Within".
